Version 2.0 submitted for approval, Launch of vCaddyGolf.com
Welcome all vCaddy users. We are excited to announce the new version of our application, vCaddy 2.0, which has been submitted to Apple and is in the approval process.
We expect the review to take a few days, but finally we have fixed some of the kinks, wrapped up the initial parallel release of vCaddyGolf.com, and are ready to show them to the world.
The new version of the app adds scorecard features, easily the most requested feature by our users, as well as Front/Center/Back of green distances.
Scorecard Features:
- Keep score for up to 4 players
- Players info gets saved to the application, so that they dont have to log in each time you start a new round with them. Just touch the “select player” button after hitting “add new player” from the scorecard startup menu.
- All 4 players can keep track of shots/putts.
- Main player can additionally keep track of Fairways hit/ Greens in Regulation
- All 4 players rounds get saved to the website, for later viewing and analysis.
Additional Changes:
- Front/Back/Center of Green Distance finder capabilities (Front/Back need to be marked)
- Manual Course Selection easier with added “subnames” when golf clubs have more than one course that can be played.
- Range Finder accuracy improvements
- Current Progress saved, so you can leave the application and return right where you left off.
We hope you like the new changes. Maps will be added as a quick additional update, as some users do not want the feature (as it can take a while for maps to download while on the course).
We will try to add this to a later version with optional maps, but the first maps version will have them integrated.
Also, courses can still be added/mapped/approved via our original website, http://www.golfmapz.com
We will be integrating this all into vcaddygolf.com at some point, but for now will focus this effort on scorecard tracking and analysis.
Enjoy, and hit em strait!

Just installed the update and now the app quits (unexpected) & exits to the home screen constantly.
Is this a known bug, or an isolated case where I may need to remove and reinstall the App.?

After updating to version 2 the app quits and exits to the home page. What is needed to resolve this issue?

I am also having the same problem as Daniel and Justin with the app crashing right after opening almost every time. Is this just not going to be addressed until the next update? Also, I played a round of golf with the app and submitted my score afterward, but it is not on the website. Why is this? Are others having this problem? Thanks.

If you have a “Default Course” saved in your preferences, then you will not be able to see the scorecard online after you upload it (even though it says successful). We will give you a tool to be able to do this shortly, and we have submitted an update to get rid of the “Default course” option.
These changes will get all your past scorecards viewable on the website. If you DO have a default scorecard saved currently, please delete your app, and reinstall it (and DO NOT use the default course option).
Thanks!
